Madhya Pradesh has secured a strong representation in the BJP’s new national organisational team, with eight leaders from the State being assigned important responsibilities across the party’s national structure. The appointments cover key areas including organisation, social outreach, farmers’ affairs and media, underlining the importance being given to the State in the BJP’s national setup.
Lal Singh Arya has been appointed national vice-president of the BJP. A senior Dalit leader, Arya has previously served as an MLA from Gohad and as a minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government. He has also served as national president of the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha.
Khargone MP Gajendra Singh Patel has been appointed national general secretary. Patel, 51, is serving his second consecutive term as a Lok Sabha member. He has held several organisational positions, including responsibilities in the BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha at both state and national levels.
Rajya Sabha member Kavita Patidar has been appointed national secretary. Patidar, 52, has previously served as president of the Indore district panchayat and as a BJP state general secretary. Her appointment adds representation from the OBC community to the party’s national organisational structure.
Khajuraho MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma has been appointed national coordinator of the cells cluster. Sharma served as Madhya Pradesh BJP president from February 2020 to July 2025 and is currently serving his second term as Lok Sabha member from Khajuraho. He has also had a long association with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and BJP organisation.
Soudan Singh has been appointed national co-organising general secretary, with Chandigarh as his headquarters. He was earlier serving as a national vice-president of the party. Another senior organisational leader, Shiv Prakash, will continue in the same position with Mumbai as his headquarters.
Rajya Sabha member Tarun Chugh has been appointed national office in-charge. He was earlier serving as a national general secretary and will now oversee responsibilities related to the BJP’s central office.

Ashish Usha Agarwal has been appointed national co-convenor of the BJP’s media team. He has been active in the Madhya Pradesh BJP’s media organisation and has handled party communication-related responsibilities at the State level.
Of the eight leaders from Madhya Pradesh, four are serving MPs. Their appointments give the State representation in several influential segments of the BJP’s national organisation, including senior leadership, organisational affairs, the Kisan Morcha, media and social outreach.
The breadth of these appointments makes Madhya Pradesh a significant contributor to the BJP’s new national team, with leaders from the State entrusted with responsibilities that extend well beyond the State organisation.
