Massive Fire Breaks Out at Plastic Waste Plant Near Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram

A major fire broke out at a plastic waste plant in Sector 112 near the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram, creating panic in the surrounding areas as thick black smoke covered the sky. Fire department teams rushed to the location soon after receiving information about the incident and immediately began operations to control the flames.
Police and Civil Defence teams also reached the site to assist with safety and emergency measures.
According to initial reports, the exact cause of the fire has not yet been identified. Authorities are continuing their investigation while firefighting operations remain underway.
Due to the presence of plastic and other highly combustible materials at the plant, the fire spread rapidly and produced heavy smoke, making the situation more challenging for rescue teams.
Officials have not reported any casualties or injuries so far.
However, local residents and commuters in nearby areas experienced concern because the smoke was visible from a long distance and affected visibility in parts of the area.
The incident has once again highlighted concerns over fire safety standards in industrial and waste storage units. Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed inquiry to determine the cause and assess safety measures at the site.
