Marco Rubio visits Amer Fort in Jaipur after Taj Mahal tour during India visit

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited Jaipur’s iconic Amer Fort on Monday along with his wife and members of the US delegation during his official visit to India.
Earlier in the day, Rubio and his wife spent nearly one-and-a-half hours at the Taj Mahal in Agra, one of India’s most renowned historical monuments. Visuals from the visit showed the US delegation exploring the UNESCO World Heritage sites amid tight security arrangements.
Following the Agra visit, Rubio travelled to Jaipur where he toured the historic Amer Fort, a major tourist attraction known for its Rajput architecture and cultural heritage. Officials said the visit was part of his broader diplomatic engagements in India.
Rubio’s India visit comes ahead of the upcoming Quad Summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday. Senior leaders and representatives from Quad member nations are expected to participate in discussions focused on regional security, strategic cooperation and Indo-Pacific partnerships.
The visit also highlights growing diplomatic and strategic ties between India and the United States, with both countries continuing to strengthen cooperation across defence, trade, technology and global security issues.
