Maratha quota activist Jarange firm on hunger strike from August 29

Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange on Monday remained firm on a hunger strike from August 29 at Antarwali Sarati in Jalna district.

A delegation comprising Maharashtra ministers Shambhuraj Desai, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, and Uday Samant met Jarange and appealed to him not to proceed with the agitation.

However, Jarange remained firm on his decision and set August 28 as the deadline for the Government to act on his demands.

Jarange has demanded that the pending process of issuing Kunbi certificates and validity documents to eligible members of the Maratha community be completed by August 28.
