LPG tanker crashes into UP toll plaza, massive explosion leaves 5 injured

At least five people were injured after an LPG tanker lost control, rammed into a toll plaza and triggered a massive explosion in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district on Friday morning. The powerful blast engulfed the area in flames, causing panic among commuters and toll plaza staff.
According to officials, the tanker crashed into the toll plaza before catching fire, with the explosion causing extensive damage to the toll infrastructure. Five toll plaza employees suffered severe burn injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Emergency response teams, including firefighters and police personnel, reached the spot and launched rescue and firefighting operations. Authorities also halted traffic on the highway to prevent further accidents and ensure public safety.
Officials have begun an investigation to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The extent of the damage is being assessed, while efforts continue to restore normal traffic movement in the area.
