Commercial LPG Price Hiked by Rs 993: Check New 19-kg Cylinder Rates in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru

Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹993 with effect from 1 May, marking the third hike in recent months. The revision is expected to significantly impact restaurants, hotels, and small businesses that depend heavily on cooking fuel.
In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now stands at ₹3,071.50. Domestic 14.2-kg LPG cylinder prices, however, remain unchanged, providing relief to household consumers despite global energy market fluctuations.
The latest increase follows earlier hikes of ₹144 in March and nearly ₹200 in April, reflecting ongoing volatility in international fuel markets. Oil companies typically revise LPG rates at the start of every month based on global pricing trends.
The hike comes amid geopolitical tensions in West Asia, which have disrupted energy supply routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping corridor. These disruptions have contributed to fluctuations in crude oil and LPG prices.
Indian Oil Corporation also announced increases in bulk diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices, although specific revised rates were not disclosed. The company clarified that these revisions apply mainly to select industrial segments and are part of routine monthly adjustments.
According to the company, commercial and bulk LPG accounts for only about 1% of total LPG consumption in India, while annual national consumption stands at approximately 33 million tonnes.
