Landslide Blocks Doda-Kishtwar Road in Jammu and Kashmir, Traffic Advisory Issued

A major landslide has blocked the Doda-Kishtwar road in Jammu and Kashmir, disrupting vehicular movement and prompting authorities to issue a traffic advisory.
The incident occurred early Saturday morning near Gatsoo, close to Pul Doda in Doda district, cutting off a key route connecting Doda and Kishtwar. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police, debris from the landslide has completely obstructed the road.
Officials said that men and machinery have been deployed at the site, but it may take time to fully restore connectivity. Commuters have been advised to avoid travelling on the route until clearance operations are completed.
Visuals from the area show heavy machinery removing large boulders and debris from the roadway. Authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported in the landslide incident so far.
In a separate incident in the Bantalab area of Jammu, three labourers lost their lives after a portion of an under-construction bridge collapsed. One person was rescued from the site.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary expressed grief over the loss of lives and announced strict action against those responsible. Two officials have been suspended, another has been attached, and the contractor involved has been blacklisted. An inquiry into the incident is currently underway.
Authorities continue to monitor both situations as restoration and investigation efforts progress.
