KTR must apologise to Gandhi and Reddy: Congress

Telangana Congress Official Spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar Goud has strongly condemned the indecent, irresponsible and derogatory remarks made by BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) against senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Bandi Sudhakar Goud said that KTR has completely lost political balance and is resorting to cheap personal attacks out of frustration over the BRS party’s collapse. He reminded KTR that Telangana state was achieved solely because of Sonia Gandhi’s sacrifice, and questioned bluntly: “Had Sonia Gandhi not given Telangana, what would be your situation today? What would be the condition of your family?” He stated that in 2014, Congress handed over the newly formed Telangana state with a surplus budget, but during the ten-year BRS family rule, the State was systematically looted. “KCR’s family behaved like vultures, plundered lakhs of crores of public money and pushed Telangana into a mountain of debt,” Bandi Sudhakar Goud alleged.
He further pointed out that Rs 60,000 crore in pending contractor bills, left unpaid by the previous BRS Government, are now being cleared by the Congress Government, exposing BRS’s financial mismanagement and corruption.
Bandi said that while the Telangana movement’s core slogans were ‘Funds, Water and Jobs’, the BRS Government betrayed all three. In contrast, the Congress Government is now fulfilling these promises one by one, along with implementing the six guarantees given to the people.
Responding to criticism over Krishna River waters, he said there was nothing wrong in CM Revanth Reddy stating facts that the previous BRS Government failed to exert pressure on the Centre or effectively utilise Krishna waters.
“If BRS had courage, they should have faced a debate in the Assembly. Instead, it was KTR and BRS leaders who ran away,” he mocked. He added that KCR attended the Assembly merely for attendance, not for Telangana’s interests. Taking a sharp dig at internal BRS contradictions, Bandi Sudhakar Goud asked: “When your own sister Kavitha is exposing your opportunism and corruption across the state, why is the entire family hiding like thieves bitten by a scorpion?” He demanded that KTR answer Kavitha’s allegations if he has any credibility left.
He warned that the Congress party will drag BRS leaders out of their hiding places, expose their scams and ensure that every rupee looted from the people is recovered. Finally, Bandi Sudhakar Goud issued a clear and stern warning: “KTR must immediately tender an unconditional apology to Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. If he fails to do so, Congress workers will block KTR wherever he goes.”
