Israel says it killed Hamas operatives involved in aid transfers to Gaza

The Israeli military has announced that it killed several Hamas operatives who were allegedly involved in facilitating and transferring funds and resources used to support the group's activities in Gaza.
According to Israeli authorities, the targeted individuals played a role in managing networks that helped channel money and logistical support to Hamas, which Israel claims was used to strengthen its military operations.
Israeli officials said the operation was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Hamas's financial and operational infrastructure.
The military alleged that the individuals were linked to mechanisms used to move substantial amounts of money into Gaza and support Hamas's armed wing. Israeli authorities maintain that weakening these networks is essential to limiting the group's capabilities and preventing future attacks.
The development comes amid continued tensions in Gaza despite a ceasefire agreement brokered in late 2025. While large-scale fighting has decreased, sporadic military operations and airstrikes have continued, with both sides accusing each other of violating ceasefire terms.
The situation remains highly sensitive as international mediators continue efforts to preserve the ceasefire and address humanitarian concerns in Gaza.
Ongoing diplomatic discussions are focused on security arrangements, aid delivery, and long-term stability in the region. Analysts say developments on the ground could influence broader negotiations aimed at reducing tensions and preventing a return to full-scale conflict.
