IIM Mumbai hosts NICE Crossword & Quiz Contest with Extra-C
Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai), in collaboration with Extra-C, successfully organised the NICE IIM Mumbai Crossword & Quiz Contest on Friday at its Mumbai campus.
A Press release by the organisers said the entire event was made possible under the able guidance of Professor Manoj Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, whose continued support for academic and co-curricular excellence strengthens the institute’s vibrant learning culture.
The event was held in the distinguished presence of Prof. Rauf Iqbal, Associate Dean, and Professor Utpal Chattopadhyay, Area Chair, whose encouragement inspired participants throughout the competition.
The Crossword Contest, conducted by Rehan, challenged participants’ analytical thinking and vocabulary skills, while the Quiz Contest, led by Meghashyam Shirodkar, tested teams across diverse domains in an engaging and competitive format. In the Crossword Contest, winners were Pragati Tripathi and Vrinda Bansal, while runner-Up Praharsh Aharwal and Amrita Kesh. The second Runner-Up were Srishti Garg and Parul Sameer Birewal.
In the Quiz Contest, winners were Pragati Tripathi & Vrinda Bansal, followed by Rimjhim Chaturvedi & Ritika Datar as the runners-up. The 2nd runner-up were Partha Lele and Prayag Agarwal, according to the Press release. A standout highlight of the event was the exceptional performance of the female participants, who outshone their peers with remarkable confidence and intellectual prowess. Notably, Pragati Tripathi and Vrinda Bansal clinched the Winner’s title in both contests, achieving an impressive double victory.
The event reflected IIM Mumbai’s commitment to fostering intellectual engagement, collaboration, and holistic student development, further strengthening its culture of academic excellence and spirited competition.
