Hindustan Unilever shares dive 7%

Shares of FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Tuesday tanked 7 per cent after the firm reported a 3.17 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the June quarter of FY27. The stock tumbled 6.97 per cent to settle at Rs 2,023.15 on the BSE. During the day, it dived 7.16 per cent to hit the 52-week low of Rs 2,019.
At the NSE, the stock dropped 6.98 per cent to end at Rs 2,022.70. The company’s market valuation declined by Rs 35,619.79 crore to Rs 4,75,357.56 crore.
The stock was the biggest laggard among the Sensex and Nifty firms. Hindustan Unilever Ltd on Tuesday reported a 3.17 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,680 crore for the June quarter of FY27, mainly on account of exceptional items and higher taxes. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 2,768 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by HUL.
