Heavy rain, dust storm lash Delhi-NCR as IMD issues Yellow Alert

Heavy rain and strong thunderstorms swept across parts of Delhi-NCR on Thursday, bringing relief from the intense heat that had gripped the region over the past several days. Dark clouds covered the skies while gusty winds and showers affected normal movement in several areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Delhi and adjoining regions, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and moderate rainfall over the next two days. Similar weather conditions are expected to continue across parts of the National Capital Region until June 6.
Visuals from Noida and other parts of Delhi-NCR showed strong winds reducing visibility and prompting residents to seek shelter. The weather department has advised people to remain cautious during thunderstorms and avoid open spaces during lightning activity.
