Recent bureaucrats’ lunch at the India International Centre was abuzz with a possible Government nod to implement strict company and SEBI norms on Tata Group. A few days ago, RBI and SEBI are tightening on the need for the listing of Tata Sons, the controlling firm of Tata Group. The top bureaucracy, which always eyes on Tata affairs, is keenly watching the political directions in this regard.
BRICS pride in vegetarianism
The success of BRICS summit can be evaluated from the fact that it demonstrated internal cohesion within the expanded 11-member bloc (including regional rivals like Iran, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia). Hosted by PM Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam, the event featured prominent leaders including China’s Xi Jinping and Russia’s Vladimir Putin with a galaxy of vegetarian cuisines from across length and breadth of India. “The success of BRICS summit and India’s diplomacy can be established from the fact that the only criticism, even from the worst critics, is about the options in the food menu,” quipped a member delegate.
Goof-up in courts?
For the past week across India, a large number of cases in trial courts and High Courts have been listed for mediation. According to the circular, this was as per Supreme Court Order. Many from the legal fraternity says AI was used to select mediation cases, and a huge blunder is happened. Many criminal cases not allowed in the media category are selected for mediation, and Judges are busy returning the cases.
