Fire breaks out at cotton factory in Bhubaneswar

A fire broke out at a cotton factory and a cloth godown in the Patrapada area here on Monday, officials said.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
Fire service personnel from Bhubaneswar, Jatani and Tamando stations reached the spot around 8.40 am and launched an operation to douse the blaze, Odisha Fire Service officer Narayan Dash said.
The fire has been brought under control, though smoke continued to emanate from parts of the cotton factory, where firefighters were carrying out cooling operations, he said.
"Nobody died in the incident. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the fire," Dash said.
