Delhi Traffic Advisory: Diversions on Lodhi Road, Aurobindo Marg today due to Muharram Procession

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory today, warning commuters of diversions and congestion on several major roads in central Delhi due to the Muharram Tazia procession at Karbala in Lodhi Colony. Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and expect delays during peak hours.
According to the advisory, traffic movement will be affected on key stretches, including Lodhi Road, Aurobindo Marg and nearby connecting roads. Diversions will be enforced to facilitate the smooth movement of the religious procession and ensure public safety.
Commuters travelling through central and south Delhi are advised to use alternate routes wherever possible and follow directions issued by traffic personnel deployed at affected junctions. The police have also urged motorists to allow extra travel time and avoid unnecessary travel through the restricted areas.
The advisory is expected to remain in effect during the procession, with traffic restrictions likely to be most significant in the evening. Delhi Traffic Police has requested the public to stay updated through its official traffic alerts and cooperate to ensure smooth traffic management.
