Government reveals names of 6 soldiers killed during Operation Sindoor for the first time

The Centre has, for the first time, officially disclosed the names of six Indian Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives during Operation Sindoor, India's cross-border military operation launched in May last year against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The names were made public in an official response, ending months of speculation over the identities of the soldiers who were killed in action during the operation. Until now, the government had acknowledged casualties but had not released the names of the fallen personnel.
Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, targeting multiple terror camps across the border. The military campaign was aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure while demonstrating India's resolve against cross-border terrorism.
The disclosure is being seen as an official recognition of the soldiers' sacrifice and service to the nation. The government has maintained that the operation achieved its strategic objectives while honouring the bravery of the armed forces personnel involved.
