Delhi SIR drive to begin June 20, Door-To-Door Verification from June 30: CEO

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Delhi will begin on June 20, with door-to-door verification by booth-level officers (BLOs) starting from June 30, according to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi.
Officials said the exercise is aimed at ensuring transparency and accuracy in the voter list ahead of future electoral processes. The revision will involve systematic verification of voter details across all polling stations in the national capital.
The CEO has assured that the entire process will be conducted in a transparent manner, with trained officials deployed for field-level verification. Booth-level officers will visit households to confirm and update voter information as part of the intensive revision drive.
The schedule indicates that preparatory work, including training and logistical arrangements, will take place from June 20 to June 29. After this phase, door-to-door verification will begin on June 30 and continue as per the Election Commission’s guidelines.
The Special Intensive Revision is part of the Election Commission’s ongoing efforts to maintain updated and accurate electoral rolls, ensuring that all eligible voters are included while removing discrepancies or outdated entries.
Officials added that political party representatives will also be involved at different levels of the process to ensure accountability and transparency during the revision exercise.
The final electoral roll is expected to be prepared after completion of verification, claims, objections, and subsequent revisions as per the scheduled timeline.
