Create lasting impact on tourists visiting India, says Shekhawat
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Thursday said the time has come to contemplate measures to create a meaningful impact on tourists visiting India by improving their experience here.
Addressing the FAITH Conclave here, Shekhawat stressed on transforming global visitors into “civilisational ambassadors” by elevating the tourist’s experience while in India.
“The time has come when apart from worrying about how to increase our (tourist) footfalls, we must also contemplate upon how to create meaningful impact,” he said.
He stressed the need to improve a tourist’s experience while in India and deepen their connection to India’s cultural heritage.
“A tourist who comes to India must become the civilisational ambassador of our country,” the minister said, highlighting India’s rich cultural heritage and civilisation.
