CM launches prepaid taxi service from ISBT Tutikandi in Shimla

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday launched a prepaid taxi service for about 26 locations from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Shimla’s Tutikandi.
Under this facility, customers will book taxis at the prepaid taxi counter at ISBT Tutikandi. After payment at the counter, they will receive a receipt, which will be given to the taxi driver, according to a statement issued here. After returning to the station, the driver will submit the slip at the counter to receive payment for the journey.
The prepaid taxi service will cover 26 locations within Shimla city, besides two additional destinations — Chandigarh International Airport and Chandigarh city. A total of 115 vehicles will be part of this service and will be operated by the Taxi Union.
