CJP founder Abhijit Dipke accuses Modi of 'murdering democracy', vows protests till CEC resigns

CJP founder Abhijit Dipke on Thursday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "murdering democracy" and alleged "vote theft", saying protests would continue until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns.
Dipke was speaking at a protest organised by the civil society group and CJP against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
He alleged that voter deletions carried out during the SIR exercise were intended to disenfranchise people opposed to the BJP. He also accused Modi and the Election Commission of undermining democracy and facilitating what he described as vote theft.
"We will hit the streets, reclaim democracy and continue agitation till the CEC resigns," Dipke said. (with inputs from PTI)
