Udaipur SHO killed, constable injured as car rams into stationary tractor-trolley in Jodhpur

A Station House Officer (SHO) posted in Rajasthan's Udaipur district was killed and a constable injured after their car crashed into a stationary tractor-trolley in Jodhpur district, police said on Thursday.
The accident took place on Wednesday night when Jhadol SHO Budhram Bishnoi was travelling back to Udaipur after attending a court hearing at the Rajasthan High Court in Jodhpur.
Chamu SHO Hanuman Bishnoi said the car appeared to have gone out of control before hitting the tractor-trolley, which was parked on the roadside. Budhram died at the spot.
The constable, who was driving the car, suffered injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Police said a preliminary inquiry suggested that the headlights of an approaching vehicle may have affected the constable's visibility, resulting in him failing to notice the stationary tractor-trolley.
Budhram, a native of Chamu, had been transferred from Banswara to Jhadol around two months ago.
His body was kept at the mortuary of a government hospital in Chamu. (with inpits frpm PTI)
