CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Update: Result Expected Soon, Check Date, Websites and How to Download Marksheet

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 soon, bringing relief to nearly 18 lakh students awaiting their board exam scores.
According to officials, the results are likely to be declared in the third week of May 2026. Sanyam Bhardwaj confirmed that the evaluation process is in its final stage and dismissed rumours about any technical delays, stating that such claims are misleading.
Once released, students will be able to check their results online through official portals such as CBSE Official Website and CBSE Results Portal by entering their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.
How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026
Students can follow these steps to access their results:
- Visit the official CBSE results website
- Click on the Class 12 Result 2026 link
- Enter required login credentials
- Submit details to view the scorecard
- Download and save the marksheet for future use
Digital Marksheet via DigiLocker and UMANG
In addition to websites, CBSE will provide digital marksheets through platforms like DigiLocker and UMANG.
To download via DigiLocker:
- Log in using mobile number or Aadhaar
- Link CBSE credentials
- Access “Issued Documents”
- Download Class 12 marksheet
The online marksheet will be provisional, while original certificates will be issued later by schools. However, digital copies are valid for college admissions and official purposes where accepted.
What After Results?
Following the declaration, students will move towards higher education processes, including entrance exams like CUET and merit-based college admissions.
Those dissatisfied with their scores will have options for verification, rechecking, and re-evaluation. CBSE will release detailed guidelines regarding application procedures and timelines after the results are announced.
Students are advised to keep their login credentials ready and rely only on official sources for updates. In case of heavy traffic on result day, alternative methods such as SMS and IVRS services will also be available.
