"Car Mein Bacche Hain": Indore Man Charges At Family With Stick After Car Collision Dispute

A shocking road rage incident in Indore has sparked outrage after a video showed a man allegedly threatening a family following a minor car collision.
The incident took place on April 24 near Bangarda Road in the Aerodrome area, when a couple travelling with their two-year-old child was confronted after their car reportedly brushed against another vehicle.
In the viral video, the accused—identified as Mangal Sharma—can be seen approaching the family’s car with a stick in a threatening manner. Despite repeated pleas from the parents, who can be heard saying “Car mein bacche hain” as their child cried inside, the man allegedly continued to intimidate them and demand money.
According to police, the situation escalated quickly from a minor dispute into an alleged attempt at assault and extortion. A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shrikrishna Lalchandani confirmed that efforts are underway to trace and arrest the accused.
The video has since gone viral on social media, triggering widespread concern over rising incidents of road rage and public safety. Several users condemned the act, calling it an example of growing aggression on roads and a failure of law enforcement to deter such behaviour.
The incident has reignited debate over road safety and the need for stricter action against violent conduct in public spaces.
