Car catches fire on Delhi’s MB Road due to intense heat

A car caught fire on Delhi’s Mehrauli-Badarpur (MB) Road near Lado Sarai today amid intense heat conditions in the national capital.
According to officials, two people were travelling in the vehicle when the fire suddenly broke out. Both occupants managed to escape safely before the flames spread across the car.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. Visuals from the spot showed the vehicle engulfed in flames, causing brief disruption to traffic movement in the area.
The incident comes as Delhi continues to reel under severe heatwave conditions, with temperatures crossing 43 degrees Celsius in several parts of the city.
Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the fire, though extreme heat is suspected to have contributed to the incident. Further investigation is underway.
