BYD India opens country’s largest showroom in Delhi

Bolstering its footprint in the national Capital’s burgeoning Electric Vehicle (EV) market, BYD India, the world’s leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), inaugurated its 48th national showroom in Moti Nagar on Friday. Launched in partnership with PPS Motors Pvt Ltd, the facility stands as the largest BYD showroom in India to date.
The expansive 9,000 sq ft outlet marks the brand’s sixth touchpoint in the Delhi-NCR region. The facility is designed to house up to seven vehicles, offering an immersive retail experience where customers can engage with the brand’s latest sustainable mobility innovations and design philosophy.
Speaking at the inauguration, Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business, BYD India, noted that Delhi-NCR remains one of the most dynamic EV markets in the country. “The inauguration represents another important milestone in strengthening BYD India’s retail footprint. Supported by increasing consumer awareness, we look forward to contributing to India’s transition towards cleaner transportation,” he said.
With this launch, BYD India’s network now spans 40 cities. The company’s current Indian portfolio features a diverse range of premium electric offerings, including the BYD SEALION 7, the SEAL premium sedan, the ATTO 3 eSUV, and the eMAX 7 eMPV. Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Motors Pvt Ltd, emphasised the strategic importance of the partnership.
“As the largest sales and after-sales partners for BYD with 10 touchpoints across India, this facility reflects our shared commitment to accelerating EV adoption. We endeavour to provide a premium and seamless ownership experience for customers in the Delhi region,” Sanghvi stated.
Globally, BYD continues to dominate the green energy sector, having sold over 15 million NEVs as of early 2026.
The company’s environmental impact is estimated at a reduction of over 129 billion kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, a feat equivalent to the carbon sequestration of approximately 2.14 billion trees.
The expansion comes at a time when BYD is rapidly climbing global rankings, recently securing the 91st spot in the 2025 Fortune Global 500 with a brand valuation of $14.4 billion.
