Bodies of 8 more Indians killed in Qatar explosion repatriated to India

The bodies of 8 more Indian nationals who lost their lives in the recent explosion in Qatar have been repatriated to India, taking forward the government's efforts to bring back all victims of the tragic incident.
According to officials, the mortal remains arrived in India on Saturday, where they were received by authorities before being handed over to the victims' families. The repatriation was carried out with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Indian Embassy in Qatar and local authorities.
The explosion, which occurred at an industrial facility in Qatar earlier this week, claimed the lives of several workers, including Indian nationals, and left many others injured. Indian officials have been coordinating closely with the Qatari government to facilitate documentation, identification and the return of the deceased.
The Government of India has expressed condolences to the bereaved families and assured all possible assistance. Officials said efforts are continuing to support injured Indian workers and ensure the safe return of all remaining victims.
The incident has once again highlighted the risks faced by Indian expatriate workers employed in overseas industrial and construction sectors.
