BJP’s Debangshu Panda sweeps Falta repoll with massive victory margin of I lakh

The BJP registered a major victory in West Bengal’s Falta Assembly repoll as candidate Debangshu Panda secured a decisive win with a margin of more than one lakh votes.
The result marked a significant political development in the state, with the BJP making strong gains in a constituency that had attracted considerable attention due to earlier election-related controversies.
The repoll in Falta was conducted after the Election Commission ordered fresh voting following allegations of irregularities and concerns raised during the earlier election process.
Voting was held under strict security arrangements with a large deployment of security personnel to ensure a peaceful and transparent process.
According to official results, Debangshu Panda secured 1,49,666 votes while CPI(M) candidate Sambhu Nath Kurmi finished second with 40,645 votes.
Congress candidate Abdur Razzak Molla remained in third place, while Trinamool Congress candidate Jahangir Khan ended in fourth position despite announcing his withdrawal before the repoll.
The result is being viewed as an important political development in West Bengal and is expected to influence future political discussions in the state.
