Aurobindo Society hosts national conference on inclusive education

Sri Aurobindo Society organised the National Conference on Inclusive Education 2026, anchored in the theme Education for All: Equity, Empathy, and Innovation. The conference was graced by Manmeet Kaur Nanda, IAS, Additional Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and Ira Singhal, IAS, Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), along with academic leaders and sector experts. Marking a significant milestone under Project Inclusion, the conference also witnessed the inauguration of the Mother’s Grace Centre of Excellence (CoE), Delhi, by Manmeet Kaur Nanda.
With the inauguration of the Delhi CoE, Sri Aurobindo society now operates six centres of Excellence, with a vision to establish many more in the coming years to support training, research, and system-level transformation in inclusive educationSpeaking at the conference, Manmeet Kaur Nanda said, “Project Inclusion has demonstrated that inclusion needs continuous engagement with schools, teachers, communities, and families. It requires a practical model that shows how inclusive education can work in everyday classrooms.”
