Assam Skill University commences internship programmes

Assam Skill University has commenced its Internship Programmes from 1st July onwards across various departments, with the objective of providing students practical exposure, hands-on learning, and skill-based training in emerging and industry-relevant areas.
The internship programmes include various training programs in Electric Vehicle, Solar Energy, Semiconductor Assembly and Testing, IoT and PCB Design, Python Programming, Machine Learning, Speech Technology, Food, Nutrition & Diet Management, Soft skills and professional etiquette, Mushroom Technology, Advanced Surveying, CNC Milling and few more.
Vice Chancellor Subhas Chandra Das, IAS (Retd) acknowledge efforts made by all the concerned Heads of Departments in commencing these industry-relevant internship programs.
Hanif Noorani, ACS, Registrar, Assam Skill University, stated, “The commencement of these internship programmes marks an important step towards strengthening skill-based education at the University. We are committed to ensuring smooth academic coordination and providing students meaningful opportunities for practical and industry-oriented learning.”
Highlighting the academic importance, Prof (Dr) Manoj Deka, Dean of Academics at Assam Skill University, stated, “Internships are an important bridge between classroom learning and real-world application. Through these programmes, students will gain hands-on exposure, develop confidence, and strengthen their knowledge with practical experience.”
A total of more than 200 students have enrolled in the internship programmes across seven departments of the University. With participants drawn from various districts of Assam, the internship programmes reflect Assam Skill University’s commitment to expanding access to quality skill education and creating inclusive, industry-oriented learning opportunities for students.

These internship programmes are designed to provide practical exposure, improve employability, and help students understand the skills required in today’s professional world.”
