5 arrested in Bengaluru Rs 1.09 crore kidnapping-robbery case, Rs 85.5 lakh recovered

Bengaluru Police have arrested 5 people in connection with the sensational ₹1.09 crore kidnapping and robbery case, recovering ₹85.5 lakh in cash during the operation. The accused allegedly abducted the victims before robbing them of the cash, prompting a large-scale police investigation.
According to police, the arrests were made after an intensive investigation involving technical surveillance and multiple raids. Officials recovered ₹85.5 lakh from the accused, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining stolen amount and identify any additional individuals involved in the crime.
The kidnapping and robbery had triggered concern due to the large amount of money involved. Police said the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further interrogation is expected to reveal the complete conspiracy behind the offence.
Authorities are continuing the investigation to establish the roles of each accused, recover the remaining cash, and determine whether the group was involved in similar criminal activities in the past.
