14 alleged infiltrators apprehended in Assam: CM Himanta Sarma
By Pioneer News Service

Assam Police have apprehended 14 alleged infiltrators and initiated appropriate action against them, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.
Sarma did not provide further details but said authorities were continuing efforts to prevent what he described as attempts to carry out "nefarious designs" in the state.
"Fourteen such infiltrators have been apprehended by Assam Police, and appropriate action has been taken against them. Assam remains alert," he said in a post on X.
The Assam government recently informed the state Assembly that nearly 2,100 illegal foreigners, including 2,023 from Bangladesh, had been deported, expelled or sent back from the state over the past decade.
