State universities advancing with stronger foundations: CM

To promote economic empowerment, universities should introduce new job-oriented courses like Dairy Technology and Agriculture  Chief Minister felicitated by the Madhya Pradesh University Joint Struggle Committee. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that universities in the state are continuously becoming stronger and that in the future, all universities will be financially self-reliant and capable. Universities are being encouraged to introduce courses aligned with modern requirements alongside traditional faculties.

The Chief Minister urged universities to establish medical colleges in their respective regions, assuring that the state government would affiliate hospitals with them. The government will bear the costs of salaries and allowances for hospital staff, while universities will manage teaching, learning, and examinations. Exam fees will be utilized for the operation, management, and expansion of both the medical colleges and universities.

Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized that universities should offer professional and skill-based courses like Dairy Technology and Agriculture. He was addressing a felicitation ceremony organized by the Madhya Pradesh University Joint Struggle Committee at Barkatullah University's Gyan Vigyan Bhavan. 

Dr. Yadav reaffirmed that the state government is committed to the welfare of government employees and pensioners. Employees and pensioners from government universities will also benefit from salary and allowance hikes. 

He highlighted that the state now has only two categories of universities - government and private. The government is introducing innovations in higher education to set new benchmarks. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, Madhya Pradesh is strengthening its education system and launching new courses. Yadav emphasized that under PM Modi's leadership, the people of Madhya Pradesh are committed to making state the best in the country. 

Expressing gratitude for the birthday wishes and felicitation, the Chief Minister thanked university employees and pensioners. He also extended New Year and Gudi Padwa greetings to all present in the auditorium. 

Dr. Yadav announced financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each to two pensioners' committees of government universities and reiterated the state government's commitment to employee welfare. He highlighted that several pro-employee decisions have been implemented for their benefit. 

Pensioners, officers, teachers, employees, and various associations from all state universities collectively honored Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. The Madhya Pradesh University Joint Struggle Committee presented him with a grand floral garland, an honorary shawl, a memento, and a citation. 

The felicitation ceremony was attended by Shri Ashok Kadail, Director, Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy, Prof. S.K. Jain, Vice-Chancellor, Barkatullah University, Prof. Mansoori, Registrar, Prof. Kalika Yadav,  Prof. Gopal Sharma, and other dignitaries.
