Be late and lose leave! The order has come.

The latest office order of the DC Shashi Ranjan is a nightmare for government officials and employees who either get late, do not register Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance and skip duties.

The order of the DC is 5 days late in registering attendance on the Biometric Attendance System will mean loss of 1 casual leave.

Beyond 5 days late will hole Earned Leave account by 1 day. 

So a government official or employee is to lose leave either CL or EL.

Contractual workers too have been tamed and made to lose 1 casual leave if found late on 5 days.

It's not clear if it's 5 days consecutive or 5 days in a month. 

This order has come at such a time when a large number of government officials and employees face pay held up for the month of January under orders of the DC Shashi Ranjan.

This newspaper has a copy of this office order with it.

The order is seen as a Draconian measure said many affected people whose pay is on hold for the month of January.

If the pay is held up weeks ahead of this financial year to be over, then there will be lapse of fund and once fund is elapsed, getting arrears is too difficult.

Sources said a general amnesty or general pardon be shown to all whose pay is held up as a chance to improve the culture of attendance in time and work.

Further the Palamu administration needs to explain this 10.40 am deadline.

Here there is an issue. A doctor has his night duty over early in the morning. The doctor goes home after his night duty.

Should he come again to his work place to make his Biometric Attendance at 10.40 am?

The doctor will never come. So it should be make attendance as per the duty time where sign on and sign off are to be strictly followed.
