On the lines of the prestigious Word Power Championship, the state level FLN Championship is being organized for the first time by the Department of School Education and Literacy of the State Government. For the state level competition, school children from class 2 to 5 will have to qualify four rounds. First of all, children will be selected at the school level for the cluster level competition. After the cluster level competition, the selected children will get the opportunity to participate in the block, then district and then state level competition.
In this state level competition organized in collaboration with Sampark Foundation, Leap for Word and Room to Read, children will showcase their knowledge skills in Maths, Hindi and English subjects. The result of the competition organized at the cluster level was released today. In this competition, a total of 72,671 children have been selected for the block level competition. 13,879 teachers have also been selected for the block level competition. 19,260 children have been selected in Hindi subject, 22,928 in English and 30,483 in Maths.
Chatra district is at the top among the best performing districts. From Chatra district, 4,283 children have been selected in Maths, 2,386 in Hindi and 1,870 in English for the block level competition. 2053 children from Ranchi have been selected in Maths, 1,389 in Hindi and 1,298 in English. The block level competition has started which will be held till 28 February 2025. The state level competition will be organized in Ranchi on 28 and 29 March 2025. The objective of the state level FLN Championship is to motivate students and teachers of classes 2 to 5 studying in government schools and encourage them to adopt the objectives of FLN learning.
The winning participants of the English subject of the state level FLN Championship will get an opportunity to represent Jharkhand in the National Word Power Championship to be held in Mumbai. The winning children of the remaining two subject categories will also get a chance to go to Mumbai, where all the expenses from their accommodation to travel will be borne by the School Education and Literacy Department. The children's transportation will be arranged by plane.
