Vedanta ESL’s CSR Department, in collaboration with the Central Engineering Department, organized a water conservation drive under Project Swajal on World Water Day 2025. The initiative, themed “Glacier Preservation”, aimed to educate communities and students on sustainable water usage and freshwater conservation.
Sessions at Budhibinor Anganwadi engaged 45 SHG beneficiaries on rainwater harvesting and waste reduction, while a drawing contest at Chandaha Drawing Centre saw over 50 students creatively express their commitment to water conservation. Top participants were recognized, and both events concluded with an oath-taking ceremony.
ESL’s Head of CSR, Kunal Daripa, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainable water management. Through Project Swajal, ESL CSR continues efforts to ensure clean drinking water access, promote glacier preservation, and encourage responsible water usage at the grassroots level.
