Chief Election Officer K. Ravi Kumar today said that the District Election Officer and ERO of all the districts have received instructions from the Election Commission of India to hold a meeting with the recognized political parties at their level. Work for the implementation of the suggestions received from the political parties as per the legal provisions of the election.
Kumar was holding a meeting with the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner and officials related to the election of all the districts through video conferencing from the Election House on Friday. In the meeting, the Chief Election Officer also discussed in detail with all the District Election Officers on the PPT sent by the Election Commission of India for the election officers and also sought suggestions to improve it.
Kumar said that if matters related to voter ID card are brought to the notice by the representatives of political parties or voters, ensure their timely execution. He said that the voter list has improved due to the voter revision programs being held from time to time and the combined efforts of all. During the registration of voters, all computer operators should work keeping in mind the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, they should not use any kind of shortcut, this increases the possibility of mistakes.
On this occasion, the Chief Electoral Officer also released a booklet related to the Assembly Elections 2024. In this booklet, data related to the Assembly Elections 2024 has been shared.
On this occasion, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Dev Das Dutta, Sub-Election Officer Sunil Kumar along with District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, ERO, Deputy Election Officer and election related officers of all the districts were present through video conference.
