State BJP today reacted strongly to the statement of JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya, who has reportedly said that there were complaints of extortion in BJP’s proposed GoGo Didi scheme. State BJP spokesperson Avinesh Kumar Singh said that JMM has lost its senses in power and its leaders have started making baseless allegations to hide the failures of their promises.
He said that the talk of extortion of crores in Gogo Didi scheme announced by BJP for sisters before the elections by the JMM leader is baseless and beyond facts.
Singh demanded from the Hemant government that it should investigate the baseless allegations of its party spokesperson and tell the public who has paid money for filling the form. The government should also reveal the illegal collection of crores otherwise BJP will take legal action against JMM by knocking the doors of the court.
Singh said that when BJP, being a strong opposition, reminds the state government of its promise, the ruling coalition gets irritated. He said that JMM should tell whether the promise of buying paddy at Rs 3200 per quintal was made only to get votes. Was the promise of a gas cylinder at Rs 450 just a sham?
He said that BJP did not oppose the Maiya Samman Yojana. Rather, under the pressure of BJP's pre-election Gogo Didi Yojana, JMM increased the amount of Maiya Samman Yojana from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500.
The state spokesperson said that the state government is stopping the payment of other schemes by making payments somehow only in the Maiya Yojana.
He said that the Hemant government should also increase the pension amount of widows, elderly and disabled people to Rs 2500 and also ensure prompt payment.
He said that the Central government is fulfilling the promises made by it with full honesty. It is not making any excuses. Within a month, the Hemant government started hiding its failures by blaming the center. Its history of breaking promises is old. And in this tenure too, the public will have to bear the brunt of breaking promises.
He said that in the last tenure, the Hemant government had cancelled the applications for many appointments in the name of making a local policy. Later, some appointments were made by the court order, but the Hemant government has not made or implemented a local policy as per its announcement till now.
He said that JMM is again showing false hopes of appointing local youth. But JMM should tell what the local policy of the state government is.
The JMM should tell the unemployed youth of the state that under which local policy published in the gazette of the state government, the Hemant government will recruit local youth.
