BHEL Bhopal ED hoists national flag at Piplani Parade Ground

S M Ramanathan, Executive Director BHEL, Bhopal hoisted the National Flag at Piplani Parade Ground, Bhopal on the occasion of Republic Day, accepting salutes from CISF contingents.

Especially present in the program were Sangeeta Ramanathan, President, BHEL Ladies Club, Rosie Upadhyay, Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager (Operations), Shri Avinash Chandra, General Manager (WEX, MOD, LGX & TCB Operations) & President, BHECNIS, Shri A Aurangabadkar, General Manager (WEX & MOD) & Vice President, BHECNIS, and Cultural Secretary, BHECNIS, Commandant Harish Kumar Sahu, all General Managers/DROs, all office bearers of BHECNIS/Unions and all Vice Presidents of the Club.

While extending his best wishes and greetings to everyone on the 76th Republic Day, Shri Ramanathan said that today India is emerging as a leading country in the global economy. With development in the country, the demand for electricity is increasing rapidly and the Government of India, keeping in mind this increasing demand for electricity, has also given its consent for many thermal based super critical projects.

This decision of the Government of India is a very welcome step for BHEL. As a result, many orders are being received in the thermal power sector along with industry, transport, nuclear, hydro, non-conventional energy and defence.Under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and “Make in India” campaign of the Prime Minister, BHEL has also received a lot of encouragement along with various other industries of the country. The year 2025 has started with new hopes and expectations for BHEL.

Under the able and efficient leadership of K.S. Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director, BHEL has strengthened its established reputation as an engineering company along with entering new business areas.After this, award winning tableaux of Vishwakarma Jayanti were displayed by various departments and cultural performances were given by various cultural troupes.

Parade and other performances were given by children of various schools. The efficient display of the armed force in dealing with terrorism and the display of firefighting by CISF, Bhopal Unit were appreciated by all.

On this occasion, the Best Executive, Supervisor and Workman awards were also given by the Human Resources Department.In the same sequence, the popular All India Kavi Sammelan was also organized by BHECNIS.
