Newly elected Gurugram Mayor and Sohna Municipal Council Chairperson take charge in the presence of Union Minister Rao Inderjeet Singh on Friday.
On this occasion, councilors of Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) and Municipal Council Sohna were also present.
The Union Minister congratulated Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra and Chairperson Preeti Bagri and called upon them to play a leading role in the development of the area. He said that keeping in mind the trust and developmental perspective of the voters, you have entrusted the responsibility to you; live up to that and dedicate yourself to public service and fulfill your responsibility in development works.
“Every possible support will be given at the government level for the all-round development of the area. The government is playing an active role in the direction of social upliftment. In such a situation, the newly elected mayor and chairman, along with all the corporation councilors, should show alertness and play a leading role in providing better services to the citizens,” he said.
During this, Gurugram Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra said that the all-round development of Gurugram will be her top priority. With the cooperation of all the officers, councilors, and the public, the city will be made a clean and beautiful city. “All issues related to the corporation will be worked on in a planned manner by sitting with the corporation officials and councilors. It will be our endeavor that all the works of the public are done with complete transparency,” she said.
The triple-engine government will set new dimensions in the development of Gurugram. She said that with the resolve of development, we will work towards developed Haryana and developed Gurugram.
During this, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashok Garg welcomed Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra and assured full cooperation from the personnel and officers of MCG and effective and quick implementation of public utility schemes under their guidance.
Meanwhile, Sohna Municipal Council President Preeti Bagri said that the all-round development and beautification of Sohna city will be her top priority. Not only this, her full focus will be on implementing the welfare schemes being run by the state government.
“I will work to make the city clean and to make the benefits of various welfare schemes reach the common people. With the help of fellow councilors of the Municipal Council, I will work for urban development along with the expansion of basic facilities in Sohna,” she said.
She said that we will all work with development as the priority, development as the vision, and the resolution of development so that the public does not face any kind of problem.
