Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Thursday, congratulated Pema Khandu for being sworn in as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh.
Yogi Adityanath, while posting the congratulatory message on his official handle on X, expressed confidence that the new government in Arunachal Pradesh will set new benchmarks of prosperity, development, good governance and public welfare.
The UP chief minister wrote, “Congratulations to Shri @PemaKhanduBJP Ji for taking oath as Chief Minister and Shri @ChownaMeinBJP Ji as Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh! I am confident that under the able guidance of Hon. PM Shri @narendramodi Ji and leadership of you both, the state will establish new benchmarks for prosperity, growth, good governance, and public welfare. Warmest wishes for a fruitful tenure for you both and a prosperous future for Arunachal Pradesh.”
Khandu, who was re-elected unopposed from Mukto constituency in the border district of Tawang, was sworn in as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh by Governor KT Parnaik in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party president JP Nadda, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, among others.
Khandu took oath as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh for the third consecutive time on Thursday. Eleven other MLAs were also sworn in as ministers at a function held in the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre.
