XLRI: Empowering the Next Generation with Career Counselling Fair

XLRI's Human Potential Centre, Samarthya, successfully orchestrated the Disha Career Counselling Fair at the XLRI campus. Disha, an annual flagship event, saw tremendous participation and engagement, marking it as one of Jamshedpur's biggest career guidance initiatives.

 

The event witnessed enthusiastic involvement from over 140 dedicated XLRI student volunteers, resulting in an impressive turnout of 700 registrations. Attendees, comprising 450+ students, parents, and teachers, benefited from an array of career insights and possibilities presented by renowned professionals and experts.

 

Notable schools such as CM School of Excellence, Baldwin High School, DAV, JH Tarapore, and Loyola contributed to the event's success, emphasizing the community's recognition of the importance of career counseling. Disha 2024–25 explored diverse career paths, ranging from biotechnology, fashion, journalism, to more conventional sectors like engineering, civil services, and commerce.

 

A highlight of the event was the presence of Nina Mukherji, a distinguished career counselor and psychometric assessor, who delivered a keynote speech drawing on her extensive 15-year industry experience. Attendees found her insights invaluable, offering practical guidance and inspiration for their career journeys.

 

The organizing team expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating, "Disha 2024–25 aimed to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to make informed career decisions. The response reinforces our belief in the importance of providing a platform for exploration and enlightenment."

 

As the curtains close on Disha 2024–25, Samarthya remains committed to its mission of nurturing human potential and guiding individuals towards fulfilling and purposeful careers.
