A voter turnout of 66.65% has been recorded across 43 Assembly constituencies (ACs) in phase-1 of Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024, surpassing the turnout by 2.75 per cent in these 43 ACs in 2019 assembly elections.
Women voters participated enthusiastically, surpassing the overall male turnout by 4.8 per cent, underscoring their increasing involvement in shaping the democratic process. A total of 37 of the 43 ACs that went for polls in phase-1 recorded higher female turnout than male.
CEO Jharkhand has confirmed that all polling parties have returned safely and scrutiny has completed in the presence of the candidates/their authorised agents. The Assembly Constituency and gender wise voter turnout data for 43 ACs in phase 1 of Jharkhand Assembly elections has been released. Further, a copy of Form 17C is also provided to the candidates through their polling agents.
The voter turnout is at the polling stations and final votes polled will be available post-counting with counting of postal ballots. Postal Ballots include Postal Ballots given to service voters, absentee voters (85+, PwD, Essential Services etc.) and Voters on Election Duty. Daily account of such Postal ballots received, as per established guidelines, are given to all candidates.
