The winners of DIC Trophy for Young Managers – 2024 were awarded at a function held at Manthan conference Hall of DIC Secretariat of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 17th February 2024. Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, DIC, RSP with Additional Charge of Bokaro Steel Plant presided over the function and presented the Trophies. Present on the occasion were Mr. Somnath Tripathy, ED (MM), Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (P&A) with additional charge of ED (Projects), Mr. A K Behuria, ED (F&A) and other Senior Officers of the Plant. The theme for this year’s competition was ‘Sustainable Future through ESG adoption: Challenges and Way Forward for SAIL.’
Mr. Bhowmick congratulated the winners and wished them luck for the next round of the competition.
The Winning team comprising Mr. V P Arya, AGM (C&IT), Mr. K K Jaiswal, AGM (HRD), and Mr. Sanjay Gautam, AGM (C&IT) were presented with the Trophy along with cash award of Rs. 15,000/- and Certificate each.
The 1st Runners-Up team comprising Mr. Anup Agarwal, Manager, (HSM-2), Mr. Deepak Garg, Manager, (WMD), and Mr. Bata Krishna Giri, Deputy Manager, (R&C Lab) received trophies with cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- and certificates.
The the 2nd Runners up team consisting of Mr. Jyotirmay Jena, Senior Manager (HSM- 2), Ms. Mahananda Sahoo, Deputy Manager, (F&A), and Mr. Preetam Ranjan Sahoo, Deputy Manager (HSM 2) were given a Cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- and certificates to each member.
The function was coordinated by Mr. K K Jaiswal, AGM (HRD).
