Vedanta ESL, in partnership with the Drishtee Foundation, inaugurated an Agarbatti (incense stick) manufacturing unit in Madhuniya under its flagship Project Jivika. This initiative aims to empower rural women by providing skill-based training and creating sustainable livelihoods.
The agarbatti unit addresses the growing demand for incense sticks in India and promotes rural entrepreneurship using locally sourced materials. Speaking at the event, Kunal Daripa, Head CSR, Vedanta ESL, said, “This initiative empowers women through skill development and entrepreneurship, fostering self-reliance and community progress.”
The inauguration was attended by dignitaries including Kunal Daripa, Rajeev Ranjan from Drishtee Foundation, and local leaders. Supported by the community, this project links beneficiaries to larger markets and aims to drive economic growth in the region.
