A meeting of the Urban-Level Interdepartmental Convergence Coordination Committee was held on July 26 at the Chas Municipal Corporation auditorium under the chairmanship of Additional Municipal Commissioner Anant Kumar and the coordination of Dr. Dinesh Kumar, District Civil Surgeon and Chief Medical Officer.
The meeting focused on reviewing and planning health services provided by urban primary health centers, Ayushman Arogya Mandir, polyclinics, and Atal Clinics in the urban slums. It was decided to fill the vacant positions of doctors and healthcare workers at all centers as needed. Additionally, there was an in-depth discussion on how to improve the provision of health, nutrition, education, drinking water, and housing facilities for urban residents through better coordination among various departments.

Mishra (A.C.M.O.), City Data Manager NUHM, Dr. Varsha Ghanekar (ACMO) from Bokaro General Hospital, Urban Mission Manager - NULM, In-Charge Medical Officer Chaas, Dr. Shalin (S.M.O.) from WHO, State Representatives of PSI India Nilesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar, District Manager Manzoor Khan, Path NGO, and representatives from various departments such as the Municipal Corporation, Women and Child Development/ICDS, and the Education Department were present and contributed to the discussions.
