More than two dozen people including Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)'s former MP from Palamu Lok Sabha constituency Kameshwar Baitha and former BSP candidate from Garhwa assembly constituency and Chatra's Lok Sabha in-charge Virendra Sao have left BSP and joined Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). All of them took membership of JMM in Ranchi in front of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
The Chief Minister inducted everyone into JMM by garlanding them and wearing the party's belt. Those who joined the party include Rajkumar Sao from Garhwa, Ambika Singh Kharwar, former head of Jarhi Yamuna Prasad Ravi, social worker Ajay Sao, Shailesh Dhawan, former BSP district secretary Kashi Ram Chandravanshi, former treasurer Ali Hussain Khan, Pramod Chaudhary, Rajkumar Chaudhary, Luv Kumar Chandravanshi, Panchanand Vishwakarma, Varun Rajak from Vishrampur, Sunil Rajak, Mandeep Kumar and more than two dozen other people.
On the occasion, Soren said that all of you are welcome in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha family. "JMM is not just a party, but a movement for the rights and respect of the people of Jharkhand. With your support, this struggle will become even stronger. Together, we will carry forward our commitment towards the development of the state of Jharkhand, tribal rights and social justice," he said.
On all these joining JMM, Garhwa MLA Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Tourism, Art Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department of Jharkhand Government, welcomed all of them into the party and congratulated them. He said that with all these joining JMM, the party will become stronger and the party will benefit from their efficient leadership capabilities. Along with this, the development of Garhwa will get a new direction.
