Two youths from Bhopal have been arrested by Uttarakhand police in Dehradun with a chemical device. Along with them, three youths from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi have also been arrested. The Radiation Emergency Response Team was called from Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) to check whether the chemical device contains radioactive substances or not.
No radioactive substance was found in the investigation, but it was confirmed to be chemical. On Saturday, the device was sent to Bhabha Atomic Research Center in Mumbai for further investigation.
The youth had come to Dehradun to sell the device. The deal was to be worth crores of rupees. The names of three other people have also come to light, for whose arrest raids are being conducted in Noida and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
These accused arrested were identified as Zaid Ali, Jahangirabad, Bhopal, Abhishek Jain, Kolar, Bhopal,
Sumit Pathak, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, Tabrez Alam, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh and Sarwar Hussain, New Delhi
According to Uttarakhand Police, the accused have been arrested from the flat of former Income Tax Commissioner Shwetaabh Suman in Brook and Woods Society located in Jakhan. He had given his flat on rent. Police had received information on Thursday that some outsiders had brought radioactive devices. They are talking about buying and selling.

A black colored box was found. The people caught from the flat described it as a radioactive power article. They said that there is a danger of radiation on opening it. In such a situation, the room was sealed and SDRF team was called on the spot. Further investigation is being done.
