Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the conduct of the officers is of paramount importance. To become a successful officer, be simple, service-oriented and sensitive. Wherever you are posted, whoever you meet, communicate with them in simple language with cordiality. Working for the betterment of the poor and the deprived is the significance of administrative service. Governor Patel was addressing the trainee officers of the 2023 batch of the Indian Administrative Service.
Governor Patel said that a sense of learning is necessary to become an efficient officer. Keep learning throughout the service period. Visit the work areas intensively. Listen to the problems of the public seriously and solve them. There should be convenient access for the public to reach out to officers and vice-versa. He said that there is a difference between training and ground experiences. In practice, many such problems arise whose solution is not provided in the guidelines. All of you will have to solve these problems and challenges in accordance with the hopes and expectations of the people.
Governor Patel said that you are very fortunate that you have got the sacred opportunity of serving the public and the nation in the Amrit Kaal of Independence. You belong to that generation of civil servants who will become the decision makers and witnesses of the transformation of making the country a developed India by 2047.
Governor Patel was welcomed by Director General Naronha Academy JN Kansotiya by presenting a sapling and a memento. On behalf of the Academy, trainee officer Shivam Yadav shared his experiences of the training period. Smt. Neha Bhartiya gave information about the training programme of the Academy for trainee officers.
