Theft at the Rivera Town house of former MLA, one accused arrested from Rewa

Kamala Nagar police have arrested a domestic help who was the mastermind involved in theft of Rs15 lakhs from the house of former MLA, Rivera Town, valuables and cash were seized from the accused totaling Rs 8 lakh.

The maid working in the house, Tanu Sharma, turned out to be the mastermind of the theft.

In the investigation police have seized Rs. 6. 3 lakh cash and household goods worth Rs. 1.7 lakh.

Accused Tanu Sharma's sister Palak Sharma was involved with her, she was stealing cash in parts for the past one and a half months.

Accused Tanu Sharma gave cash to her lover Nikhil Patel, resident of Rewa, and transferred the stolen money online. The two accused Tanu Sharma and Palak Sharma shared the stolen money with their mother Sona Sharma.

They bought household items like washing machine, double bed, mattress, cupboard and Karva Chauth items from the stolen money.

Tanu's boyfriend Nikhil Patel was arrested from Rewa on police remand.

Savita Diwan lodged a complaint with Kamla Nagar police that while she was on a visit  to Manali, out of the Rs 15 lakh cash in her briefcase, Rs 13.5 lakh cash were stolen from her house.

During investigation, the maid Tanu Sharma working in the house was questioned and she accepted that she had committed the theft along with her sister Palak Sharma had also come with me to commit the theft. They were stealing money in parts to avoid suspicion. In this regard, section 137(2) , 306 BNS was added in the case and all the four accused were taken on police remand.

Meanwhile Aishbagh Police Station arrested the woman and her accomplices who took away valuable mobile and money from victim cricketer by keeping him hostage and assaulting him, goods worth about Rs. 50,000 were recovered in the action.

On October 20 Amit Kumar Sharma,of Nizamuddin Colony lodged complaint with Ayodhya Nagar police, came to the police station and told that the accused informed that his friend Khushi is not well and asked to meet at Housing Board Colony Aishbagh and when he reached the spot with his friend Ashish Kumar he found three boys already at the spot and started abusing for meeting Khushi.

The victim refused after which he along with his friend and Khushi were taken forcefully to Rangeela Punjab Dhaba, Parwalia Road, where they had alcohol and assaulted the victim and his friend.

 

Khushi and the three boys went to Diamond Dhaba where they withdrew Rs. 4500 and Rs. 2000 from the ATM, transferred Rs. 1800 through UPI and I had around Rs. 15,000 in cash and my friend Ashish had Rs 5300 and mobile phones iPhone 15 Plus and Realme 11 Pro Plus and friend Ashish's mobile phone was Realme C21 were taken by the accused.

Khushi and her three friends stole my and my friend Ashish's mobile phones and Rs. 20,000, after which they left us in front of Career College ground and went away in a rented taxi.

Based on the complaint, Khushi alias Khushboo Devi Verma (22) years resident of Rewa was tracked and arrested she revealed that she and her friends Mohmmad Kaif, Aarish Khan and 2 minor boys kidnapped complainant Amit Kumar and his friend Ashish and beat them up and stole mobile and money.
