The event strengthened cultural-educational ties: Mauritius PM

The grand event of Vishwa Rang 2024, dedicated to the global promotion of Hindi and literature, art and culture, has done an important job of strengthening the cultural-educational relations between India and Mauritius.

The ideas that have come to us from the ideological discussions held in various sessions of Vishwa Rang, we will together take meaningful steps in that direction.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rabindranath Tagore University (Bhopal, India) and Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Mauritius will provide opportunities for creative and innovative work for a long time with mutual coordination. Heartiest congratulations to Santosh Chaubey, Director of Vishwa Rang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University for the historic event of Vishwa Rang and MoU! Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the representatives from various countries as well. The above sentiments were expressed by Praveen Kumar Jagannath, Prime Minister, Republic of Mauritius while addressing the closing ceremony of Vishwa Rang 2024.

On this occasion, Santosh Chaubey, Director, Vishwa Rang and Chancellor, Rabindranath Tagore University (Bhopal, India) said that in the closing ceremony of Vishwa Rang, we are not saying goodbye, we are returning to our respective countries with the resolution of meeting again on this occasion. We will meet again with new heights and new colours. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rabindranath Tagore University (Bhopal, India) and Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Mauritius will provide important opportunities to both the countries to promote creative work together in the direction of language, education, literature, art and culture.

He further said that when he came to Mauritius in February, he had the auspicious opportunity to meet President of Mauritius, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister. At that time, meaningful discussions were held with officials of important institutions of Mauritius, including Rabindranath Tagore University and Mauritius Government, especially Vishwa Hindi Secretariat, Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Rabindranath Tagore Institute, Hindi Speaking Union, Hindi Pracharini Sabha, Indira Gandhi Indian Cultural Centre, Mauritius Broadcasting, Mauritius Doordarshan and Radio.

It is worth mentioning that the grand, wonderful, unique organization of Vishwa Rang 2024 in Mauritius is a pleasant result of this.He further said that 'Tagore International Hindi Center' has been established in the Rabindranath Tagore University campus.

Hindi acquisition course was created for teaching Hindi at the international level. The work of standardization and certification has also been done. We will connect one crore people all over the world with the Hindi teaching program.Vishwa Rang Director Santosh Chaubey announced on this occasion that from Vishwa Rang 2025, a personality working at the global level in the field of education, literature, art and culture will be honoured with the 'Afro-Asia International Vishwa Rang Samman'.

In Vishwa Rang 2024, personalities who have done important work for Hindi in different contexts were honoured by the hands of Praveen Kumar Jagannath, Prime Minister, Republic of Mauritius and Santosh Chaubey, Director Vishwa Rang and Chancellor, Rabindranath Tagore University (Bhopal, India).

On this occasion, senior litterateur Dr. Laldev Anchraj (Mauritius), senior author Dr. Hemraj Sundar (Mauritius), famous folk singer Dr. Malini Awasthi (India), renowned Bengali singer Jayati Chakraborty (India), senior educationist and author Padmesh Gupta (UK), senior storyteller Divya Mathur (UK), renowned technical expert and author  Balendu Dadhich Sharma (India) were honoured with 'Vishwa Rang Bhasha Samman 2024'.
